Magnificent Matteo, a Sweet Survivor the Cat needs a home
Matteo is an amazingly sweet cat who, despite having had a rough start in life, is very affectionate! Though Matteo can be a bit shy the first time he meets you, once he knows you, he is a total love bug in his own, delightful way.
Matteo will not jump in your lap, but he will follow you around the house, rub against your legs, and look in your eyes with an unbelievably precious expression of admiration and attention. All together, these qualities make this boy irresistible. And, if you have another pet or pets, he’ll be the perfect companion for them, too. Matteo is a super playful and active teenage cat. This little ball of energy spreads his positive vibes and love of life to all around him, stimulating even older and not-so-active cats to join in the fun.
We discovered Matteo as a starving kitten crossing a busy street. In his search for food, this poor kitten was pulling himself along on two front legs, dragging the rest of his body behind him. He was clearly frightened, since he’d obviously been through something terrible, but fortunately, we were able to rescue him. X-rays showed severe damage to one of Matteo’s hind legs and, in order for him to survive, that leg had to be amputated. But now, this tripod is doing great! He’d love to find his forever home with you in the new year.
